HOMESICK: Darmian MANCHESTER UNITED flop Matteo Darmian has admitted he misses Italy.

Defender Darmian, who signed for United from Torino in 2015, has featured in just three league games for Jose Mourinho’s men this season.

The 29-year-old had been set to leave Old Trafford in the summer but stayed put.

But he could head back to his homeland in Janaury, with Juventus, Inter Milan, Napoli and Roma all among those interested.

Darmian, who can play at left and right back, said: “I must say, I really do miss Serie A and Italy now.

“I know that I am at one of the best clubs in the world and I am proud to be at Manchester United. But I do miss Italy.”

The emergence of 19-year-old full-back Diogo Dalot has seen Darmian slip further down the pecking order at United.
