Airport security leg rap

-

AN air passenger was forced to remove his prosthetic leg at an airport as part of a security check.

The incident happened at Newquay Airport in Cornwall when the man and his family were flying to the Scilly Isles.

The man’s stepfather is Labour peer Lord Berkeley, who told the House of Lords of the bizarre security check.

He said: “My stepson, who lost a leg some time ago, was forced to take his prosthetic leg off in Newquay Airport in front of a lot of passengers.

“Surely there should be a rule to have a bit more common sense applied to such searches.”

Newquay Airport did not comment.
