AVA Max is mixing business with pleasure and has been dating her hitmaker for years.
The Sweet But Psycho singer is in a relationship with Cirkut,
who writes and produces for The Weeknd, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus.
Ava told me: “I’m in a good relationship now, he produced this song, we’ve been together for five years, been working together for three, a lot of people don’t know we are dating.
“It’s so fun working together and during Christmas we will be finishing the album, and spending time together.”
Sweet But Psycho is the only single giving Ariana Grande’s
Thank U, Next a run for its money for Christmas No1 and Ava reckons it’s because it’s relatable.
She said: “I think a lot of women love it. “A lot of people have said: ‘Oh you’re calling girls psycho’ but no I’m not – it’s about the guy mocking the girl and making her feel like she’s a psycho and losing her mind when really she’s a strong and independent woman.”
Ava admitted she’s done some pretty ‘psycho’ things in past troubled relationships but would never feel the need with Cirkut.
She said: “I was with a guy years ago and he was not a cool guy.”
The short side of her hair represents that girl who chases boyfriends, whereas she says the long side is her “sweet side”.
