Porsche fan dead

-

MOTORING enthusiast Tony Hawks died when a stone landed on the roof of the car he was driving.

The father-of-four was at the wheel of his brother’s Porsche Boxster near Congleton, Cheshire, when it careered through a bridge over a canal, Crewe Coroner’s Court heard.

The car demolished the stone wall and ploughed down an embankment.

A large stone from the wall smashed on to the soft top and the 50-year-old died from severe head injuries.
