A GUY at work would like to start a relationship with me. But I’ve been single for so long that I don’t know if I can be bothered to start again.

He’s making it clear that he wants to date me, which is flattering, but commitment scares me.

Do I really want to share my time and my space when I’m so settled into my own, cosy routine?

JANE SAYS: I think this guy deserves some honesty. Tell him today that you are flattered but would like to take things slowly because you weren’t planning to start a new relationship any time soon.

Go on a few dates and just see what happens. It could be that he surprises you – he could end up enriching your life and making you very happy. Keep an open mind, because being stuck in a rut is never a good idea.
