JUSTIN ROSE remains on track to regain the world No.1 ranking after sharing fifth place halfway through the Indonesian Masters.

The Ryder Cup star needs a top-12 finish to guarantee replacing Brooks Koepka at the top of the pile. The defending champion’s 68 left him six shots behind leader Poom Saksansin on day two.

Rose said: “I wasn’t quite on my game. My goal now is to play free golf and chase the leader.”
