The under-fire PM rolled the dice one last time with Euro leaders at a crunch conference in Brussels.
But a row erupted between Mrs May and JeanClaude Juncker after he blasted her plans as “nebulous”, which means vague.
The angry PM is said to have confronted the Brussels chief. And the pair were spotted having a heated row in the middle of the council chamber. Later, Juncker denied describing Mrs May as “nebulous” after comments he made about the Brexit debate prompted the PM to take issue with them.
Footage of an exchange between Mrs May and the European Commission president appeared to show the PM saying: “You called me nebulous.”
He had told a press conference the Brexit debate is “sometimes nebulous and imprecise”, but was forced to clarify his comments to cool the row.
