End to ‘loyalty penalty’

-

THE UK’s broadband providers will have to tell customers about their best deals under planned new rules.

Telecoms regulator Ofcom said the change was aimed at tackling a “loyalty penalty” that makes it difficult for long-standing customers to get the cheapest package.

The proposals would make broadband firms – plus mobile, landline and pay-TV providers – alert customers about their best deals or tariffs.
