Club fiend drove on to dancefloor
THIS is the moment a clubber found guilty of attempted murder ploughed a car on to a packed dancefloor after bouncers chucked him out.
Disgruntled Mohammed Abdul said he felt “humiliated” after being barred from Blake’s nightclub in Gravesend, Kent, on March 17 last year.
The 21-year-old was convicted of two counts of attempted murder following a re-trial at Maidstone Crown Court. He had told staff he would come back to kill them and “shut the place down” moments before smashing through the wall.
Clubgoers told how they feared it could be a terrorist attack and thought the driver might have explosives or knives on him.
Katie Wells, then 18, was among those who suffered serious injuries – including a fractured pelvis – and was in court to see the verdict. Abdul is due to be sentenced today.
