A BOY of 14 who “just wanted to make his parents proud” was butchered in the street after being rammed off his moped.

Jayden Moodie was knocked off his scooter by a black Mercedes B Class in a rush-hour execution.

Three men got out of the car and stabbed the teen at least seven times in the back.

They then climbed back in the motor which sped off.

Police were last night probing if the murder in Waltham Forest, north-east London, was motivated by a row between rival gangs.

Hours later a man in his 20s was stabbed in the face three streets away. He was taken to hospital and is stable.

Police found Jayden lying in the road at 6.30pm on Tuesday.

He was pronounced dead halfan-hour later.

Jayden, who is believed to be the youngest victim to die on London’s streets in the past year, only moved to the capital with his family six months ago from Nottingham.

His uncle Josh Grant wrote on Facebook: “RIP to nephew.

“Can’t believe I’m never gonna see you again. I told him before they moved to London he had to behave down there. He didn’t listen I tried to show the right way. I feel so s*** and upset right now.”

Jayden’s friend Jason Smith said: “He just wanted to make his parents proud.”

A family pal, who gave his name as Solomon, TRIBUTE:

Flowers said the teen was a talented boxer.

One witness claimed the teenager was killed in a film-style execution. He said: “It was like a movie. It is a postcode war.’’ Another said: “They were dressed in casual clothes and did not cover their faces. “They each had a long kitchen knife. They butchered him.” Police last night recovered a car which detectives believe was used in the attack on Jayden, Scotland Yard said.

Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker said: “Everyone is shocked and appalled by this murder.

“The age of the victim, a boy aged 14, beggars belief. I think that will strike a chord with so many people and so many parents across the UK.

“A lot of people are saying young man, he’s not. He’s a boy. It’s shocking. It’s an appalling event.”

London mayor Sadiq Khan said that he was “greatly saddened” by the killing.

A report published last summer warned county lines drug gangs operating locally were fighting over money.
