Gaffney in Barclays card gaffe

EASTENDERS actor Dean Gaffney has been mercilessly mocked for showing his bank details in an epic social media fail.

The star, who plays Robbie Jackson, posted a snap on Instagram of girlfriend Rebekah Ward perched on his lap.

But fans rushed to the comments section to point out that his account details are clearly visible.

One wit wrote: “Look at Robbie flexing the Barclays bank card.”

Another of the actor’s 57,000 followers quipped: “What’s it say on the little blue card mate?”

Jokers swamped the post to poke fun at the embarrassing gaffe.

Even reality telly stalwart Calum Best jumped at the chance to tease his friend.

The son of legendary Manchester United footballer George joked: “Watch that bank card.”

But the actor saw the funny side and even joked with mate Calum: “I’ll give you that one!”

Even in the midst of her troubles – including being banned from driving again – ex-glamour model Katie Price found time to comment on the post. She wrote: “Love you too” in reply to Dean’s caption which read: “She drives me crazy but she is special to me.”

Another fan chimed in: “I thought you was calling her a gold digger at first until I saw the card.”

Dean, 40, started dating 26-yearold model Rebekah in 2016 and last year the EastEnders favourite pledged his commitment to her with a promise ring.

An insider said at the time that the gift of jewellery was a way for Dean “to tell the world how he feels about her”.
