POP star Ed Sheeran claims he writes his best songs while having a cup of tea.
The Shape Of You singer likes to have a clear head when he pens his chart-topping hits.
He no longer smokes weed and only ever drinks alcohol once his gigs are over.
And when it comes to writing his million-selling smashes such as Galway Girl and Perfect, he needs a cuppa to get his juices flowing.
Ed said: “I only ever create sober. I like to be alert. I find ideas happen when you have a cup of tea.” He also loves the fact that “gingers” are now considered sexy.
At school he was the butt of jokes. But he says fellow redheads Prince Harry and actor Rupert Grint have helped make ginger men sexy.
He adds: “Parents with ginger children come up to me and go: ‘It’s now cool to have ginger hair’.
“I was ribbed about it at school. It’s the thing that got me noticed.
“Now everyone loves Harry and Rupert Grint. Ladies love Grint.”
