AN ambulance is to be based at Sergei Skripal’s home for four months as the roof is removed.
It means workers can get immediate attention if they are contaminated by Novichok at the house in Salisbury, Wilts.
But nobody knows who will be paying the bill of thousands of pounds.
Yesterday Defra said it was part of health and safety procedures and insisted: “The risk to the public remains low.”
South Western Ambulance Service stressed response times would be unaffected.
A spokesman said: “It won’t have an impact on our service. We’re not paying for it.”
