Hedge of darkness
POLICE are searching for thieves who ran off with a hedge.
A 40ft-long section of 10ft-tall hedgerow was stolen from the front garden of a house in Tostock, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
The detectives are appealing for witnesses after the green-fingered gang managed to uproot it and take it away.
One officer joked last night: “We will leaf no stone unturned in our hunt for who did this.”
