I’VE always suffered with migraines. My headaches last for days and leave me incapable of doing anything.

I’m under the doctor as I’m often physically sick.

My boss is wonderful because her sister gets them too. She allows me to make up my work when I’m feeling better.

Unfortunately my partner is totally unsympathetic. He can’t understand why I can’t take a couple of paracetamols and “pull myself together”.

And he goes into a sulk if I’m not able to go out drinking or have sex.

Now my other half has announced that his boss has invited staff and partners on a team-building weekend and I’m not to “pull one of my stunts”.

Why can’t he be more sympathetic? JANE SAYS: Start seeing your partner for the deeply unpleasant individual he is.

Your boss understands what you go through, yet the person who shares your bed refuses to give you an inch. How does that work?

A quick glance at the NHS Choices website reveals that stress, anxiety and tension can – along with other causes – all be triggers.

I can’t believe your unsympathetic boyfriend helps you one bit.

Make sure that you’re getting all the medical help available – and seriously consider leaving someone who is so unbending and so very unkind.
