THE older brothers of England aces Marcus Rashford and Trent Alexander Arnold were beaten up and robbed at gunpoint as they ate their breakfast.
Rashford’s brother Dane, 26, and Alexander-Arnold’s sibling Tyler,
24, were attacked at the Little Rock Caribbean café in Moss Side, Manchester.
The pair, along with a third friend, were enjoying breakfast at about
10.30am on Saturday when a vicious gang brandishing a shotgun, machete and baseball bat burst in.
They were left bruised and bloodied before being rushed to Manchester Royal Infirmary. Last night their injuries were not believed to be serious.
Liverpool full-back AlexanderArnold’s brother had his Range Rover and his wallet taken, while Dane’s watch was also nabbed.
Restaurant owner Samuel Francis said last night: “They’re regular guests and I think they were targeted deliberately.”
Police said six people have been arrested in connection with the ordeal, aged between 17 and 58. Two guns were also seized by detectives.
The set-upon group had been on their way to watch Liverpool’s victory over Brighton. They had stopped off at the eatery in Princess Road when they were attacked. Tyler’s Range Rover was later recovered in nearby Fallowfield.
The pair manage their brothers’ business interests.
Dane’s girlfriend is Instagram model Lauryn Goodman, 27, who posted a message to her 55,000 followers on Instagram which said: “Today was a reality check, the world can be so cruel. Be grateful for every second of every day that you get to spend with the people you love. Life is so very precious.”
Supt Mark Dexter said: “Thankfully no-one was seriously injured but the victims have been left understandably shaken.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or anyone with dashcam footage.”
