SIMON’S ‘SINGING DOGS’ SPICE JIBE

- ® by PETER DYKE

SIMON Cowell has branded the Spice Girls a bunch of “singing dogs”.

The music mogul took a swipe at the Girl Power band, left, at the latest round of Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

A group of four friends got on stage and reckoned they had come up with a new kids’ song to rival Baby Shark.

They dressed up as dogs with long puppy ears attached to their heads and tails sticking out of their rears.

But Cowell, right, was not impressed. He told them: “There have been a few singing dogs over the years. Have you seen the Spice Girls?”

Cowell is actually friends with the Spice Girls. He hired Mel B as a judge on X Factor in the UK and also asked Geri Horner and Emma Bunton to be guest judges.

But he loves to take a swipe at them whenever he can.

On America’s Got Talent, when a boyband performed a terrible rendition of Wannabe, Cowell told them: “To give you credit, you do sound better than the original.”

And when a bunch of drag queens dressed up as the Spice Girls and performed Say You’ll Be There, he bitched: “In my opinion that was better than the original.”
