THOU­SANDS of Air­bus jobs are at risk af­ter the firm an­nounced it is stop­ping pro­duc­tion of its su­per­jumbo A380 plane.

The firm said it had made the “painful” de­ci­sion af­ter strug­gling to sell the world’s largest pas­sen­ger jet.

Air­bus ad­mit­ted “3,000 to 3,500” posts could be af­fected in­ter­na­tion­ally. Around 200 of those jobs are in Broughton, Flints, and Fil­ton, near Bris­tol.
