“My brother’s death affected me massively. I couldn’t talk about it for ages. I kept it all bottled up, and it affected my performanc­es.

“When I finally started speaking about it, my performanc­es started gradually coming back.”

The struggling Dons are bottom of League One and seven points from safety despite Tuesday’s win at Walsall.

But they caused one of the shocks of the season when they dumped out West Ham in the last round.

Wordsworth, a mad keen Arsenal fan, added: “Millwall will be a lot different. It could get a bit nasty, a bit feisty. We’ll be up for the fight.

“I played them against them once for Southend. Will Atkinson got a red card and the ref sent me off !

“I was about to walk but the manager Phil Brown wanted the man who got the red card to go.

“It would mean everything for a small club like this to get to the quarter-finals.”
