“When I finally started speaking about it, my performances started gradually coming back.”

Wordsworth, a mad keen Arsenal fan, added: “Millwall will be a lot different. It could get a bit nasty, a bit feisty. We’ll be up for the fight.

“I played them against them once for Southend. Will Atkinson got a red card and the ref sent me off !

“I was about to walk but the manager Phil Brown wanted the man who got the red card to go.
