Cops grill student over finger lickin’ KFC scam
A STUDENT has been arrested for getting free KFC every day for a year by posing as an inspector from head office.
The 27-year-old would turn up wearing a smart suit in a limo with his personal chauffeur – a friend who posed as his parttime driver.
He tricked staff into giving him meals by confidently flashing an ID card that read “head office” so he could check the grub was up to scratch.
Armed with
aclipboard,
the brazen swindler would even take notes when sampling the food.
One employee said: “He was so convincing because he was so confident. He rushed to the kitchen to check everything, taking notes and then asking for samples of whatever he wants. He probably worked for KFC before because he knows everything.”
The unidentified man from KwaZulu Natal University in South Africa, who was quizzed by police, has won admirers on social media for his scam.
