Kear ‘framed’ by cross wife

JOHN KEAR had no idea he was a social media star when he reviewed Bradford Bulls’ Challenge Cup win over Leeds on Saturday.

The 64-year-old coach’s wife Dawn posted a picture of him (below) in his shorts taking notes on his side’s memorable win.

The picture got 1,000 likes and showed Kear’s dedication to detail.

“Dawn wanted to go out for an Italian because I’d been pretty busy during the day,” he said.

“I don’t think she was best pleased when she saw me scrawling in my book, and she probably posted it to show that all I do is work.

“But I knew I was working for the BBC on Sunday and had to review the game for my own piece of mind. I did take her out for that Italian on Sunday night so I got a few brownie points back.”
