Witches get Heeps better

CAMERON HEEPS is piling up the points... after shedding the pounds.

The Aussie arrived back at Ipswich with a totally new look after going on a strict fitness regime that saw him lose a stone-and-a-half.

Heeps has been rewarded with a flying start to the new season.

He helped the Witches to a 12-point win at Peterborough on Monday to climb to the top of the ■

SPEEDWAY by PETER OAKES Premiership table. Heeps, 23, said: “I had to do something after the s**t season I had last year. I have always had the talent, it was just the mindset and we have got that sorted now.

“I got in touch with a fitness guy I have known for a couple of years and he gave me a big kick up the backside.

“I just trained all winter and lost 10 kilos (22 lbs).”
