Neves loving it at Wolves
RUBEN NEVES has dropped a massive hint that he’s ready to stay at Wolves.
The midfielder is on the wanted list of a number of top clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester City.
Neves, 22, signed a new improved five-year deal with Wolves last summer. But that has not stopped the big boys casting an envious eye in his direction after a brilliant Premier League debut season.
Neves joined Wolves in a £15.8m switch from Porto two years ago and played a key role in guiding them to the Championship title.
His seamless switch into the top flight saw him help Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to seventh place. The big clubs are circling but Wolves do not have to sell and Neves does not appear to be ready to rock the boat.
He said: “It’s been unbelievable. I think the best atmosphere that I’ve played at in England, is at Molineux.
“It’s been a great year for the club. We achieved seventh place in our first year in the Premier League which is a great result for a team.
“We have the feeling of mission accomplished.
“We did a great season but always with the focus on our goal.”
