TRANMERE LIVERPOOL
RHIAN BREWSTER bagged a brace to make an early impression in pre-season for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
The Reds put six past Tranmere at Prenton Park last night, with Champions League hero Divock Origi also on target to mark signing a new long-term contract on Wednesday.
Nathaniel Clyne, who is expected to leave Anfield this summer, fired in the opener in the sixth minute.
Brewster headed in a Harry Wilson cross for his first of the night.
The 19-year-old striker then showed why Klopp fancies him as a readymade replacement for Daniel Sturridge when he pounced after James Milner’s long-range shot was saved.
Curtis Jones, 18, was one of 11 half-time changes and he tapped home the fourth at the back post after Ben Woodburn found him with a low cross.
Origi then found the net when he was played through on the hour mark before 18-year-old Bobby Duncan netted the sixth.
