EOIN MORGAN branded England’s thrashing of old enemy Australia “a complete performance” as they reached their first World Cup final in 27 years.
The England skipper said after the eight-wicket victory: “Being in the final sounds cool and feels good. The lads have earned a beer and a glass of wine.
“It was close to being a complete performance, particularly the bowling unit.
“In the last three games we have got better and better. We said we’d have to – and this was a step further in terms of our performance.” Chris Woakes took 3-20 to help skittle the Aussies out for just 223, before Jason Roy hammered 85 off only 65 balls.
