Tezza’s pay rise bonanza
THERESA May will leave a last-minute legacy to millions of public servants with a pay rise.
The outgoing Prime Minister has vowed two million workers will benefit.
The armed forces get a 2.9% pay rise, and teachers and other school staff will see a 2.75% increase.
Dentists and NHS consultants get 2.5%.
But unions have slammed the last-minute top-ups. Unite assistant general secretary Gail Cartmail said: “These below-inflation pay rises exclude nearly two-thirds of public sector workers.”
