EIGHT out of 10 dog owners admit they take their pet out for a walk just to get some peace and quiet.

A survey for YuMove of 2,000 canine-keepers also found that 73% believe getting out with the hound is a vital de-stressing tool.

Another eight in 10 said it gives them valuable thinking time.
