R. Kelly fears jail murder
R. KELLY fears being killed while he is in jail.
The singer is behind bars accused of sex crimes involving under-age girls after being denied bond by a judge.
Now he has told his lawyer, Nicole Blank Becker, that he doesn’t mind being in solitary confinement in federal prison because he feels safer.
However Ms Becker said being in solitary could be a problem for the I Believe I Can Fly hitmaker because he has no-one to lean on for support or help.
Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 13 sex trafficking charges.
During the hearing, prosecutors alleged the 52-year-old is a danger to the community, especially young girls.
They also said that the singer has the “unique ability to influence and intimidate witnesses and victims”.
The judge said that an allegation of child pornography alone comes with a “presumption of detention”.
The musician has denied all the charges against him.
