SCOTT REDDING quickly got to grips with another new circuit yesterday as he took control of the opening day of Bennetts British Superbike action at Snetterton.
The former MotoGP star led the way from early in the opening session and then clocked the fastest time of the day in the second, powering his Be Wiser Ducati to a best lap of 1min 48.246secs.
He said: “The track is unbelievable, I felt very good out there.
“I felt very relaxed during both sessions. Now I’m looking forward to the rest of the weekend.”
McAMS Yamaha’s Taz Mackenzie posted the second-quickest time of the day, closely followed by TT favourite Peter Hickman on the Smith’s Racing BMW.
Redding leads the championship by four points from Oxford Racing Ducati’s Tommy Bridewell.
