IN BLACKOUTS AND FLOODS

IBIZA SAN SEBASTIAN FESTIVAL’S IN-TENTS CLEAR-UP

-

LEEDS Festival’s site is a sea of abandoned tents, empty bottles and fast food packaging after the scorching weekend.

Staff are cleaning up after the event that saw stars such as Foo Fighters bask in the sun.

It comes after US rockers Patent Pending were left devastated when the crowd started chanting “you’re s***” – only to find out later they were really screaming: “Yorkshire.”

Singer Joe Ragosta said it was the worst moment of the New York band’s 18-year career when they thought they were being heckled.

But then they found out the audience had been paying them the ultimate tribute reserved for performances up north.

Joe said: “We played two songs and everyone went f***ing nuts. We were f***ing stoked.

“Then after the second song it was: ‘You’re s***, you’re s***.’ The security guard tried to explain but he was local so I didn’t understand him either. Then he spelt it out for me. I was like: ‘That’s an honour? Nice.’”
