Cook rescue

-

TROUBLED travel firm Thomas Cook is to be rescued by a Chinese firm.

The conglomerate Fosun, which owns Wolves football club and Club Med holidays, will pay £450million for 75% of Cook’s tour business and 25% of its airline.

Profits at Cook, Britain’s oldest travel firm founded in 1841, have been hit by online travel agents and low-cost airlines.
