Shock & roll tale for Elton
SIR Elton John has said his autobiography will show the “ridiculous” nature of his global success.
The music legend will tell of his excess and shocking behaviour when he “was completely disgusting and awful.”
Elton, 72, told publishers he would not “whitewash” his colourful past as he loathes autobiographies that paint fake personas for stars.
He outlined his thoughts in the DVD notes for his film Rocketman.
Elton said recalling his extravagant past filled with drink, drugs, debauchery and bad behaviour made him laugh: “Most of all, I found it was funny.
“Looking back at my career made me realise how ridiculous it was.”
