Bolton are saved in extra time
BOLTON Wanderers were last night granted a last-minute reprieve after the stricken football club was sold.
The four-time FA Cup winners are set to remain in the English Football League (EFL) after a £10million deal with Football Ventures Limited. The sale means Bolton, one of the 12 founder members of the Football League, are out of administration.
Joint administrator Paul Appleton said: “Now there can be a fresh start with owners who, I believe, will run the club for the good of the supporters and the community. For everything the fans have had to endure, they deserve nothing less.”
Meanwhile, a consortium has claimed it has £7million to buy Bury and are pleading with the EFL to rescind their expulsion.
