Rory out to foil Fitz

RORY McILROY will try to stop Matt Fitzpatrick from winning an unprecedented hat-trick of Omega European Masters titles this week.

The Irishman heads to Switzerland’s Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club after winning the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup title.

Sheffield’s Fitzpatrick, 24, won back-to-back European Masters titles last year – the first player to do so since Seve Ballesteros in 1978.
