Reds pay £8m Sanchez wage
MANCHESTER United will pay about £8m in wages to get rid of Alexis Sanchez for the rest of the season.
The Chilean passed a medical and agreed a 10-month loan deal with Inter Milan late on Tuesday night.
But United will fund about £8m of his wages – around £400,000 a week before bonuses.
There will be no option for Inter to make the move permanent next summer because United want to remain in control of the winger’s long-term future. Sanchez (below) is under contract at Old Trafford until 2022. And United know his value could increase should he become a success in Serie A.
It is understood Sanchez decided to join Inter after Red Devis boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told him he would only feature in Europa League and domestic cup games this season.
