Travers is on the spot
BOURNEMOUTH WIN 3-0 ON PENS
MARK TRAVERS was the penalty shootout hero as Bournemouth survived a scare to see off League Two Forest Green.
Irishman Travers saved all three Rovers spot-kicks from Joseph Mills, Kevin Dawson and James Morton.
Bournemouth winger Jordon Ibe also missed his penalty but Joshua King, Dominic Solanke and Philip Billing converted to send the Cherries into round three.
Forest Green stopper Jojo Wollacott made a string of superb saves in the 90 minutes to keep his side in it.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe brought on King and Ryan Fraser as second half substitutes.
The Cherries thought they had won it 16 minutes from time, but Jack Stacey’s shot rebounded off the post.
