Queen’s medic ‘a bully’

THE Queen’s former surgeon has been accused of bullying colleagues and using racial slurs.

Prof Zygmunt Krukowski allegedly referred to colleagues as “hairy-a***d Muslims” during a meeting with the chief executive at NHS Grampian. He denies ever making the comment and claims of bullying.

The 70-year-old used to oversee medical care of the Royal Family at Balmoral, but was suspended from his role at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after a probe was launched in 2015.

He was cleared by the General Medical Council of any wrongdoing in July, and has taken his case to an employment tribunal, claiming unfair dismissal.

Appearing in Aberdeen, he did admit asking of colleagues being absent: “What’s more important? Patients or prayers?”

The tribunal continues.
