KIDS are banned from playing football on school fields after snooty snowflake neighbours moaned referees’ whistles are too loud.

Wealthy spoilsports have blocked Sunday kickabouts and also barred children’s birthday parties inside a sports hall near where Sir Elton John and David Beckham live.

The sessions were set up by Eliot Tang, right, three years ago in posh St John’s Wood in north-west London, to tackle childhood obesity.

He said: “It’s not excessive noise.

“To take sport away from kids is a massive shame.

“We need to do everything we can to get kids up and active and off their phones and screens.”

Eliot’s company Rising Stars Activities had been hosting football games from 10am to noon but have now been told to stop with immediate effect.

He has since written to parents of 100 children to tell them the bad news.

The coach said: “If you live near a school you have to expect there will be some sports events going on near you.

“As long as it’s during sociable hours, I don’t see an issue with it.” Headteacher Nick Soar said: “We do need to abide by planning laws and be considerate to the many residents who would otherwise be disturbed by noise on Sundays.” Westminster City Council said it was a “historic planning condition” but vowed to consider applications to change it.
