FRANKIE DETTORI believes Enable has got “every credential” to make history with a third victory in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe on Sunday.

No horse has captured Europe’s middle-distance championship, first run in 1920, on three occasions.

But John Gosden’s five-year-old mare is as short as 4-6 at the head of the Arc betting.

And Dettori, who has partnered Enable to 12 successes, including 10 at the highest level, said yesterday: “If one horse can do it, she’s got every credential to be able to do it.

“I rode some great horses and it’s very hard to compare the brilliance of other champions. You might have to go back 100 years to have a horse with a CV like it.”

Dettori was reduced to tears by Enable’s latest win, in the Yorkshire Oaks last month, and the Italian added: “She took me to places, emotionally, that no other horses have taken me.

“She’s an amazing girl and has never stopped surprising me. Every time I have asked her a question – ‘Come on, baby, let’s try to win it!’ – she has always done it for me.”

Meanwhile, Siskin will “more than likely” sit out the remainder of the campaign after his dramatic late scratching from Saturday’s Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.

Ger Lyons’ juvenile was a 3-1 shot to defend his unbeaten record in the six-furlong Group One, but Colin Keane’s mount was withdrawn after rearing over in the starting stalls.

“He is a bit stiff and sore, with superficial cuts and bruises but nothing that needed stitching,” said Lyons.

“Our vet checked him when he came back and there is nothing lasting.”

● INNISFREE earned a 33-1 quote for the Investec Derby at Epsom next June after giving Aidan O’Brien a record 19th victory in the

Group 2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh yesterday.
