START WITH HORSE RACING

-

THE wet weather has already claimed Newton Abbot today and at Hamilton the conditions promise to be attritional.

Horses who like to get their toe in should be followed and these include the evergreen

VALLARTA (1.50) who is well in at the weights.

AUTUMN FLIGHT (4.30) ran a blinder in bad ground over 6f last time and the drop in trip will make him hard to catch.

The ground should not be as bad at Bath where the nap goes to

MABO (4.10).

He won really well at Ffos Las recently and has the excellent Rossa Ryan on board.

The opener at Bath is a real conundrum but GLEEDS GIRL (2.00) ran a solid race in a decent looking maiden at Newbury last time out and Tom Marquand will ensure maximum assistance in the saddle.

Tonight at Wolverhampton,

CECE CEYLON (5.25) is an interesting runner in the opening race for Ralph Beckett and Harry Bentley

She flew home at Kempton on her first start on the all-weather and the handicapper may have let her in lightly on her nursery debut if she can overcome a moderate draw.

VILLAGE ROCK (5.50) is also interesting. He is dropped into selling company and in what is a desperately poor contest he looks to have some of the best bits of form.

First-time blinkers may bring about improvement.

ARISHKA (7.20) has lightning early pace and if Josie Gordon and can get her away quickly from a poor draw, she could be difficult to catch.

And finally ONE ONE SEVEN (6.50) is fancied to follow up his recent course success.
