Camilla: My hell

- ■ by ANTONY THROWER antony.thrower@dailystar.co.uk

LOVE Island star Camilla Thurlow has revealed she considered taking her life during bouts of extreme anxiety and depression.

The 27-year-old, who dated Prince Harry, starred in the 2017 series of the show, when she and partner Jamie Jewitt finished runners-up to Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay.

Now she has revealed she has lived with mental health issues for several years, which left her wondering what “not being alive” would be like.

Her troubling revelation comes after the suicides of former Love Islanders Mike Thalassitis – who was on the same series as Camilla – and Sophie Gradon in the past year, leaving fans shocked.

Spiral

Camilla reached a “low point” when she recently turned 30.

She said: “You start to entertain thoughts about what not being alive would be like, even if it’s just letting that cross your mind.

“There’s this constant feeling of unease and it starts to become unbearable to be inside my own head – I get trapped in a really negative spiral.”

The reality star, whose new show What Camilla

Did Next comes out in 2020, was speaking on the How to Fail podcast.

Camilla dated Harry in 2014 but recently revealed she’s relieved her romance with the prince never went further as she is confident she has found love with Jamie.

She added: “It’s when you can’t see a way out, there’s no light because you don’t think that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.”
