A sword in street

A MAN who brandished a sword in a posh high street has been arrested.

Met Police Service Firearms Command confirmed they detained the man, in his 60, for carrying the weapon, which is thought to have been an American Civil War cavalry sabre.

The man was held in Teddington, south-west London, on suspicion of possessing a firearm and was later released.
