Please be nice to Alexa

PARENTS should say “please” and “thank you” to Alexa to stop their kids turning into rude brats.

Experts warn mums and dads are setting a bad example by giving blunt orders to the Amazon smart devices and similar digital home assistants.

Dr Laura Phillips, from the Child Mind Institute, cautioned: “It could be dangerous if we do not make sure that children are developing the social use of language.

“We should pay attention to how we convey messages and understand the impact of our words on people, like ‘please’ and ‘thank you.’”
