Raul: We are back on track

- ■ by JAMES NURSEY

RAUL JIMENEZ says Wolves are finally back to their best after a memorable win at Manchester City.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side struggled at the start of this season and took seven games to register their first Premier League victory.

But they stunned champions City 2-0 on Sunday with a brace from Adama Traore, after beating Watford and Besiktas.

Striker Jimenez, 28, believes Nuno’s men now look as sharp as last season, when the promoted side stormed to seventh and reached the FA Cup semi-final.

He said: “It is amazing to get this win. We are surprised but we know we have a good team to do these kind of things.

“I’m happy and proud of my team-mates.”

Victory at the Etihad was their 17th game of the season after starting Europa League qualifying in July.

Jimenez admits it has not been easy to juggle the extra demands of playing in Europe.

The Mexican added: “We have had a lot of matches. Every week we play Wednesday or Thursday or Saturday or Sunday.

“It is difficult for us but we know if we train well we can do any game at any time.

“Now we have a break. The coach says we will have some free days.” (below)
