GARETH BALE Slovakia he is “anger” as his woes continue. has warned playing with Real Madrid

Wales’ record scorer is set to win his 80th cap tonight as he aims to add to his 32 international goals.

But his club future remains uncertain in Spain, where he has a cool relationship with boss Zinedine Zidane after the Frenchman tried to force him out in the summer.

Bale has since been re-introduced into Real’s side, making seven appearances and scoring twice after a lucrative proposed switch to China collapsed.

He started the La Liga leaders’ last game, a 4-2 win against Granada on Saturday.

But he missed their previous Champions League clash and Bale refused to hold the Real Madrid pennant in the team picture before their tie at Paris St-Germain in September.

He says he will be full of fire when he faces Slovakia. Bale, who turned 30 in July, said: “You play with a lot of emotion. Anger comes into it but I am just trying to play football and trying to enjoy it as much as I can to give my best, whether I am here or at Madrid.”

Bale is understood to be more determined than ever to leave Madrid but club officials have told him to see out the season before reviewing his future next summer. He will then have two years left on his contract worth more than £600,000 a week.

He was asked if he had to clear his head when on international duty.

But Bale said: “I haven’t got anything to clear my mind about. I love meeting up with Wales and everyone knows that. It’s something I have always loved.

“We have a task at hand to try and qualify for the Euros and it is a massive game for us.”

Wales will be without Juventus star Aaron Ramsey, who has been left behind with a thigh muscle problem to focus on his fitness for the visit of Croatia on Sunday. But Ryan Giggs’ side are still hopeful ahead of the clash in the Anton Malatinsky Stadium in Trnava after beating Slovakia in their previous three meetings.

Bale scored his first international goal against Slovakia in October 2006 in a 5-1 home loss. He also netted a free-kick against Slovakia in Wales’ opening Euro 2016 group game.

Bale wants to find the net again as fourth-placed Wales aim to go second in Group E if Croatia beat Hungary at home.

Bale added: “We want back in the mix.

“It is always a difficult game against them but hopefully we come out with the three points.”

If Wales lose it is likely to end their hopes of automatically reaching Euro 2020 but they could still make it through the Nations League play-offs. MIGUEL ALMIRON will be a star at St James’ Park as soon as he scores according to the Atlanta boss who sold him for £21m.

The Paraguay playmaker, 25, has yet to find the net in his 18 games since joining Newcastle from the MLS champions in January.

But Atlanta president Darren Eales, a former Tottenham director, revealed Almiron (below) also had a slow start in Georgia.

But he went on to become a huge hit in the States where he won Newcomer of the Year in 2017, the MLS Cup last year – and had the best-selling shirt in the league ahead of Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Eales said: “It took Migie a little bit of time to find his feet when he made the move from Paraguay to the Argentinian league and the same with us in our first MLS season.

“He was unbelievable but missed a few chances.

“He went eight games without scoring and you could feel him getting pent to put ourselves up a little bit. Then he scored a hat-trick against Houston where everything he hit went in and the floodgates opened.

“And his pace with the ball is incredible too.

“I always likened it to Gareth Bale from my time at Spurs. He always seems quicker when he has got the ball than without the ball.

“It is about confidence. I just hope he can get that first goal and then they will come in waves.” Almiron was bought by Rafa Benitez and played with Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon. Under Steve Bruce he is trying to form new partnerships with new record signing Joelinton and Allan-Saint Maximin. “It is always difficult when you are signed by one manager – a Spanish speaker in particular – and he has now gone,” Eales added.

“But he always works his socks off. He was great going forward for us but he did the dirty work too.”
