Midwife and sex blunder

A CHARITY has been blasted for saying being a midwife is similar to working as a prostitute.

Campaigning website RightsInfo posted an animated video comparing the two roles.

Each worker talks about long hours, facing abuse from men and struggling to make ends meet.

But on Twitter, Mair Davis wrote: “I am a midwife. I am insulted.”

Antonia Bance posted: “This is disgraceful. Stop trying to normalise prostitution.

“The human rights approach is to help women get out of prostitution.”

And Helen Joyce said: “I fail to see the analogy.”
