FURY’S PURE BOX OFFICE Selby date with destiny CARPS MOST WANTED

-

TYSON FURY was right – I was angry he agreed to go into WWE.

But how can you stop the showman from being under the bright lights?

Fury is made for the spotlight and if he wasn’t a fighter he would surely have a career in showbiz.

He said in an interview this week I was “p***ed off” and he’s not lying.

This venture is a risky one but he wanted to do it. So who am I to stop him?

The world’s best heavyweight’s profile will only be raised by the appearance in WWE’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

Fury has been busy learning the craft of wrestling in the last few weeks.

He is one of the best in the boxing ring but learning the moves in the sports entertainment world won’t be easy.

However, it is keeping him busy while he waits for his rematch with WBC champion Deontay Wilder next year.

We all know Fury’s troubles in the past and they often came when he was out of action and it affected his mood. This is

Interview by CHRIS McKENNA keeping him going and he looks to be loving life out in America with his family around him.

I will be looking through my fingers on Halloween when he takes on Braun Strowman in Saudi Arabia.

We just hope there’s no scare which could delay the Wilder rematch.

But there’s no doubt I’ll be tuning in as Fury is unmissable entertainment.

Back in boxing, this weekend sees Josh Taylor and Regis Prograis go at it in the World Boxing Super Series final.

I have to say it is a cracking fight between two unbeaten world champions and exactly what the fans want from the sport.

It is so hard to pick a winner as they are both evenly matched.

Earlier in the card, it is more like Jurassic Park with two dinosaurs of the sport facing each other in a heavyweight duel.

Derek Chisora and David Price have certainly seen better days and are not part of the heavyweight picture at the moment.

Good job the top of the bill is such a good fight to make up for it.

ONE of the country’s top carp venues has put a price on the heads of its most sought-after fish.

John Candy, owner of Todber Manor, is offering £10,000 for anyone who can catch the five ‘Most Wanted’ whackers – known as White Lady, Bismark, Big Red, Fossil and Chalky. CARPER Gav Campbell’s target fish hadn’t been caught for two years but his determination paid off when he slipped the net under the monster mirror known as ‘Mike’s Pet’.

The carp weighed in at an all-time high of 52lb 4oz at the famous Horton Island Lake, in Berkshire.

Gav used a Sticky Baits Manilla pop up, over chopped boilies and tiger nuts.

MICK McCallister signed off his catfish season with a 121lb personal best during a trip to Essex venue, Crow Green.

He also tempted moggies of 48lb 8oz and 22lb. ANGLERS fishing the Upper Trent and River Dove are being urged to help monitor stocks after a drop in fish numbers.

More information email darin.alberry@ environment-agency. go.uk ended in defeat but the Scot keeps proving the doubters wrong.

In the shadows of the Taylor and Prograis clash and the heavyweight duel between Derek Chisora and David Price on the undercard, this fight has been overlooked.

But it could see Selby reignite his career or be one great last stand for Burns.

Selby should triumph if he has real ambition of reaching the top of the lightweight division.

There could well be world title opportunities at 9st 9lb when Vasyl Lomachenko moves back down a division.

Tonight we will find out what is left in the Barry man.
