Derek’s dressed to thrill
DEREK CHISORA has started wearing a suit to training – but has no plans to add a belt.
The Londoner takes on David Price at the O2 tonight after the giant heavyweight stepped in to replace Joseph Parker who dropped out after being bitten by a spider.
Chisora, 35, capped off his recent resurgence with a devastating secondround knockout of Artur Szpilka in July but has no plans to target a world title.
“In boxing what you want is not what you get,” he said.
“I just love doing this. Sometimes when I feel good I dress up to go to training.
“I have nine losses but nobody knows who some of the guys at the top are.
“Guys who have won world titles don’t have a pot to p*** in so I’m driven by making money.
“There’s no point fighting for a world title if I’m going to get paid peanuts.”
Price, 36, has won his last three fights following three defeats in four.
The Liverpudlian said: “Taking this fight was a no-brainer, the upside is massive.
“I expect it to be a long fight and a painful fight for Derek. I expect a knockout win.”
