Snake fan’s pet a killer

A LORRY driver accused of killing 39 migrants has received death threats.

Eamon Harrison, 22, faces extraditio­n from Ireland after appearing in court in Dublin last week.

Harrison, from Co Down, Northern Ireland, has been warned by police that his life is in “serious” danger. A family member said: “We are talking about serious death threats and it has now escalated.”

Harrison was charged with 39 counts of manslaught­er and conspiracy to commit human traffickin­g and assist unlawful immigratio­n after 39 Vietnamese people were found in the back of his refrigerat­ed container.

He is said to have driven the container to Zeebrugge in Belgium before it was shipped to Purfleet in Essex, where the bodies of 31 men and eight women were discovered on October 23. AN Indiana woman was found dead with an eight-foot python wrapped around her neck by the snake-breeding cop who owns the home.

Laura Hurst, 36, was discovered by Don Munson inside his Oxford house, which contained about 140 snakes.

Munson, a snake breeder who lives next door to the home, was able to free the snake from Hurst’s neck, but it was too late.

DRUG runner Manuel Paz Sanchez Jr made a “Boo Boo” when he was caught by police traffickin­g methamphet­amine. After being pulled over by a Montana state trooper, the 32-year-old said he had just come from Yellowston­e National Park “where he was visiting Yogi Bear”. Sanchez, left, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after almost four kilos of the drug were found in the spare tyre of his car.
