80 halted in boats

EIGHTY migrants entered the UK illegally yesterday in five boats.

Most of the flotilla, carrying Irani, Iraqi, Afghan and Syrian nationals, were intercepted at sea but one boat landed at a beach in Kingsdown, Kent.

The migrants were medically assessed and taken to be interviewed by immigration officials. A record of 86 migrants entered in one day on September 10.
